Veterinarian
Dr Carmen
Carmen graduated from the University of Queensland in 2023 and went on to complete both rotating and surgical internships at a busy referral hospital. During this time, she worked closely with specialist surgeons and anaesthetists, gaining hands-on experience in managing complex orthopaedic, soft tissue, and neurosurgical cases.
With a strong focus on small animal surgery, Carmen remains dedicated to evidence-based veterinary medicine. She maintains an active interest in clinical research, with both published and ongoing projects in the field.
Alongside her role at Wallan Vet Hospital, Carmen also works casually in Emergency and Critical Care (ECC). She is deeply passionate about delivering high-quality, collaborative care to her patients and supportive guidance to their families.
When she isn’t at the clinic, Carmen loves spending her days off relaxing and cuddling with her cat, Walter.
